6:34Now PlayingSen. Bill Cassidy (R-La.) announced his support for acting Attorney General Todd Blanche’s nomination to lead the Justice Department in remarks from the Senate floor on Friday morning.
GOP Sens. Lisa Murkowski (Alaska) and Susan Collins (Maine) already indicated they will vote against confirming Blanche to succeed former Attorney General Pam Bondi. With the absence of Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), it would have taken only one more “no” vote to block the confirmation.
