27:36Now PlayingPresident Trump on Tuesday morning will give remarks alongside the Steel Workers of America to honor first responders and the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks.
The event, marking nearly 25 years since the tragedy, will feature a steel beam recovered from the South Tower of the World Trade Center site as part of the Towers to Tunnels Foundation project.
“President Trump will pay tribute to the American heroes we lost in the tragic Sept. 11 attacks, their beautiful family members, and to the acts of heroism that defined that fateful day when the unbreakable spirit of the American people prevailed,” White House spokesperson Olivia Wales wrote online.
The president will speak at the Pentagon remembrance ceremony on Friday while Vice President Vance visits Ground Zero in New York City.
Tuesday’s event comes as Trump prepares for a busy stretch this fall, including gathering with Republicans this week in Dallas for the GOP’s first-ever midterm convention.
