The hearing comes as the fragile U.S.-Iran ceasefire is under pressure as demands from both sides of the conflict have been rejected.
The duo will also face Senate questioning later Tuesday morning. The tensions between Hegseth and Sen. Mark Kelly (D-Ariz.) have heated up in recent days after the defense chief accused the senator of revealing classified information.
