Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is planning to end its shortened training programs intended to release new officers out on the street sooner, multiple outlets reported.

Two Department of Homeland Security (DHS) officials told The Washington Post that ICE will revert to 72 days of training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Ga. The accelerated program implemented last fall was 42 days.
