2:53Now PlayingPresident Trump visited with UFC fighters in the Oval Office on Wednesday, including Ilia Topuria, Alex Pereira, Cyril Gane and Justin Gaethje, among others who will appear at the fight in front of the White House on June 14.
The event is part of the celebrations for America’s 250th birthday and it also happens to be Trump’s 80th birthday.
“I’m a big sports fan. There are no people tougher in sports than the people behind me,” Trump said.
He showed off renderings of the stage for the UFC fight.
“Not bad, right?” he said.
“This is a little different for these political people,” he joked.
He called the fighters “real warriors” and “champions.”
