Mexico's Supreme Court ruled that marriages cannot be denied to same-sex couples, however, the ruling is a bit more complex. This ruling does not invalidate existing state laws, so in order for same-sex couples to be able to wed in Mexico, they must file for an injunction, which takes time and money. So although Mexico technically has marriage equality now, it's not going to be a feasible option for many gay couples.
