8:48Now PlayingKim Davis, the Rowan County Clerk in Kentucky, is now being held in contempt for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples. She has a case pending against her and asked the Supreme Court for a stay; however, they rejected he request, therefore she has now exhausted all of her legal options. With that being said, she has still refused to issue licenses to gay couples and will now remain in jail until she is willing to follow the law and do her job. Since she has been jailed, same-sex couples have been allowed to marry. Her son—who also works at the county clerk's office—is now refusing to issue licenses to same-sex couples as well.
