Why Obama's Crackdown on "Fake News" is an Attack on the 1st Amendment

President Obama quietly codified the “Countering Foreign Propaganda and Disinformation Act of 2016,” which is buried deep in a defense spending bill. The act established a Ministry of Information that aims to combat "fake news" from foreign aggressors. The problem, however, is that it gives the federal government the authority to stifle anything they deem as "fake news," and it puts us on a slippery slope that would may ultimately spell trouble for the First Amendment.
