As of late more and more Democrats have come out in support of single-payer. However, we're quickly learning that their support is purely symbolic. For example, Democrats like Nancy Pelosi and Anthony Rendon claim to support single-payer even though they've been obstacles to it. Therefore, with the recent announcement that Kirsten Gillibrand, a corporate Democrat, supports single-payer healthcare, she's going to have to prove it. Once Bernie Sanders introduces his 'Medicare for All' bill in the U.S. Senate, we'll know if she actually supports it if she cosponsors his bill.
