18:35Now PlayingSelf-proclaimed "progressive" Democratic representative Ruben Kihuen of Nevada's 4th district was confronted by constituents during a town hall back in May. One constituent in particular, Amy Vilela, asked him to cosponsor H.R. 676 in an effort to move us closer towards single-payer. It's an issue that's important to her because after her daughter couldn't provide proof of medical insurance at the emergency room, she didn't receive the treatment she needed and died. Amy told Rep. Kihuen her story, and he still looked her in the face and rejected her plea for single-payer. After thousands of phone calls were made to his office, he has yet to cosponsor H.R. 676 and is ignoring his constituents. Initially, Mike threatened to primary him in a phone call to his D.C. office if he didn't support single-payer. Today, Mike is delivering on that promise. Amy Vilela, the mother he dismissed, will be running for congress in an attempt to take his seat. In this special announcement video, Amy talks about her campaign platform, and why she's not taking no for an answer when it comes to Medicare for All.
