He recently announced his intent to expand and extend the U.S. military's presence in Afghanistan after calling his predecessors "stupid" for doing the exact same thing. Thus, Trump went from a stringently non-interventionist position to an outright neoconservative, pro-imperialistic one on Afghanistan. If this betrayal doesn't prove to his followers that he's a puppet, nothing will.
