After spending more than $100 million to help Trump get elected, people in Trump world are reportedly irritated by Musk trying to be “co-president” to Trump. Even Trump himself jokingly remarked about not being able to “get rid” of him, saying “he won’t go home.” To make matters worse, Musk got into a massive argument with one of Trump’s top advisors, Boris Epshteyn, over cabinet picks after Musk accused him of leaking possible choices to the press. On top of that, a swing voter panel—including people who voted for Trump—don’t think Musk’s influence on Trump is good; one even remarked “I didn’t vote for him” after saying he felt like it was “bad” that Musk has so much influence over Trump.
