Stephen Colbert mocked their quiet protest at Trump’s Joint Address to Congress with a sign of his own reading, “Try Doing Something.” Even liberal pundits on MSNBC like Rachel Maddow and Joe Scarborough have pressed Hakeem Jeffries and Chuck Schumer, respectively, to explain what their plan is to stop Trump, and it’s evident they don’t actually have one. The reason why it seems like the Democratic Party doesn’t have a plan to resist fascism is because they don’t have a plan to resist fascism. In this video we’ll dissect the “roll over and play dead” strategy proposed by James Carville that Democratic leadership is seemingly following. We’ll also explain why the Democratic Party resists progressivism more aggressively than they fight fascists.
