as posted by the channelRepublican John Reid just made history by becoming the Virginia Republican Party’s first-ever openly gay nominee for a state-wide race. The problem, however, is that the state Republican Party doesn’t want a gay man to be their Party’s nominee, and the state GOP apparatus—including Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin—is trying to pressure him to drop out, even if it costs Republicans the election in June. Youngkin called for Reid to drop out after he was alerted to photos of naked men Reid allegedly reposted to his private Tumblr years ago, claiming the scandal would be a “distraction” in the race. Reid denied that the Tumblr account in question was his, and claimed that Youngkin’s team threatened to continue harassing him unless he dropped out. Reid accused Youngkin’s team of “extortion” and vowed to stay in and fight like his idol, Donald Trump. In this video we’ll break down this messy (but hilarious) intraparty drama.
