Dr. Ann Burgess: The highly-acclaimed Netflix series "Mindhunter," based on the fictional character of Dr. Wendy Carr, is directly based on Ann and her landmark forensic work. She is a Boston College Professor of Nursing and a pioneer in assessing and treating trauma victims. She and FBI special agent John Douglas were famous for developing a new type of criminal profiling of notorious serial killers decades ago. John Douglas wrote about their work in his global best-selling book, "Mindhunter: Inside the FBI's Elite Serial Crime Unit." His book was the basis for the fictionalized Netflix series "Mindhunter."
