In 2024, she became a feminist icon when she decided to forgo anonymity in the mass trial in France of 51 of those men.
The trial galvanized women in France and around the world.
In a conversation with Lulu Garcia-Navarro, Pelicot’s first interview with an American outlet, she shared what that support meant to her, including what she learned from the letters she received. Pelicot also discussed her new memoir, “A Hymn to Life: Shame Has to Change Sides.”
