Billy argues mutations cannot create "novel functional sequences" and only cause dysfunction, while the hosts provide examples of beneficial mutations including lactose persistence in humans. The debate grows heated with frequent interruptions as Forrest explains that most mutations are silent and that beneficial/deleterious are contextual terms, not absolute.
