But within minutes, he's presenting the exact same fine-tuning arguments about the strong nuclear force and universal constants that the hosts encounter constantly. Bill admits he's having a "crisis of faith" in his atheism after reading about fine-tuning parameters. Jimmy and Austin patiently explain the God-of-the-gaps fallacy, the anthropic principle, and why appealing to scientific authorities who believe in God doesn't strengthen the argument. The irony isn't lost on anyone that Bill opened by criticizing weak arguments only to present the weakest ones himself.
