Former atheist Brian calls from Georgia claiming he can provide a "reasonable explanation for theism" after exploring Christianity through marriage. However, instead of presenting his argument, Brian repeatedly tries to critique science and epistemology, invoking dark matter, fine-tuning, and the miasma theory. Matt Dillahunty becomes increasingly frustrated, giving Brian multiple chances to simply state his position and why it's reasonable. Brian attempts fragments of fine-tuning and complexity arguments but never cohesively presents his case. The conversation devolves into discussions of fallacies, with Matt pointing out Brian's constant "whataboutism" and use of God as a "panacea." Seth eventually cuts the call short when Brian tries to pivot to "emergence." The hosts then discuss how science self-corrects while religion doesn't, and why the fine-tuning argument fails as evidence for design.
