Eli, a Southern Baptist convert from a third-world country, calls to ask why Matt and Eric became atheists. When they explain lack of evidence, Eli attempts to prove God exists by arguing that Israel's re-establishment after 2000 years could "only" happen through divine intervention. The hosts systematically dismantle this argument, pointing out that people believing God wanted Israel to exist is sufficient motivation - no actual God required. Matt uses helpful analogies about mowing lawns and doing chores for your mom to illustrate how belief in authority can motivate action regardless of whether that authority actually exists. The call becomes contentious when Eli deflects criticism by claiming the hosts want "too much evidence," then randomly pivots to asking about Freemasons without explaining the connection to God's existence.
