Summer from India calls to discuss their debate with a friend who claims that presupposing logic and reason is equivalent to presupposing God. Matt and Jimmy explain that logic is a practical necessity that consistently demonstrates reliability through testing, not an absolute presupposition. Unlike God belief, we have no choice but to operate using logic and reason in daily life. Even if God created logic, this wouldn't solve any epistemological problems because we'd still need logic to verify God's existence and perfection. The hosts challenge Summer's friend to call in and defend his position, noting that his generic creator god belief appears to be God-of-the-gaps reasoning that doesn't provide the practical benefits that logic consistently delivers.
