Ruvi from Pennsylvania calls into TACIS claiming the "is a trans woman a woman?" debate is pointless — the real question, he says, is whether a group accepts someone. Hosts Ben and Mephi immediately recognize the problem: his logic makes morality a popularity contest. If group acceptance determines legitimacy, then Jim Crow was fine, slavery was defensible, and trans people's identities would literally disappear the moment they crossed into Afghanistan. Ruvi doesn't have an answer for this. He pivots to bathrooms, arguing women who are uncomfortable with trans women have a valid claim. Mephi — a trans woman herself — flips it: if white women in the Jim Crow era were uncomfortable sharing a bathroom with Black women, does that justify exclusion? When Ruvi can't articulate how a bathroom ban would even be enforced, Mephi gives him homework: write out the enforcement plan step by step. He can't. It turns out his whole position is vibes with no policy, no principle, and no logic behind it.
