Trevor calls in from an Oregon church whose motto is "God is more than pretend" — but by the end of 23 minutes with Matt and Owen, he's essentially admitted that pretending is exactly what he's doing. A former fan of The Atheist Experience turned new Christian convert, Trevor can't explain why he believes Jesus was divine, can't name a piece of verifiable evidence, and accidentally reveals that he filters the Bible by whatever doesn't personally offend him. When Matt asks what he'll do to find out if his beliefs are true, Trevor confesses he now has "the faith" and is no longer concerned with rational groundedness. Matt ends it simply: "I have zero interest in conversations with people who want to throw rationality out the window." Oh, and someone may or may not have been high.
