DB calls in from Canada, claiming to be a theist who believes the Bible is not BS. Ian immediately challenges that with the Bible's slavery laws, and DB concedes they seem "disturbing" and "imperfect" — but insists he trusts God enough to believe they were morally perfect anyway. Ian identifies the contradiction instantly. Things only get shakier from there: DB attempts a "spiritual nature of man" argument for God's existence that Matt diagnoses as fully circular, openly admits his position isn't demonstrable, conflates logical validity with soundness, and ultimately defends the Bible's goodness by citing the Bible. Matt closes with 1 Corinthians 14:33 — "God is not the author of confusion" — and notes that the Bible is, in fact, full of confusion. DB's trust never wavers. His reasons never arrive.
