"In the wake of the shooting of nine black members of a Charleston church, a sentiment appears to be growing nationally that the Confederate flag is offensive and displays of it should be curtailed. On Thursday, Bubba Watson announced plans to eliminate the flag from one of its most iconic perches, at least in terms of pop culture — atop the “General Lee,” the car that was arguably the biggest star of the hit TV show, “The Dukes of Hazzard.”
Via his Twitter feed, Watson made this statement:
“All men ARE created equal, I believe that so I will be painting the American flag over the roof of the General Lee #USA”
