Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) holds a narrow lead over Hillary Clinton in the early-voting New Hampshire primary, according to a Fox News poll released Wednesday.
Sanders garners 45 percent support, to 44 percent for Clinton. The difference between them is well within the survey’s 5.5 percent margin of error.
Sanders has a much more comfortable lead among young people in the Granite State poll, carrying the under-45 vote with 59 percent, to 30 percent for Clinton.
Older voters represent a major voting bloc for the former secretary of State, who carries the over-45 vote by 52 percent to 35 percent.
In hypothetical match-ups against Republicans, the poll shows that Clinton would lose in New Hampshire against Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush and Ben Carson.
However, she would defeat businessman Donald Trump and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) in the state, and draw even with businesswoman Carly Fiorina.
The Fox News poll sampled 804 registered voters in New Hampshire from Nov. 15–17. It has a 5.5 percent margin of error."
