Zucker had lunch with reporters today and, according to TVNewser, he objected to the idea that Trump has been covered too much all along because “he has been the front-runner of the Republican party since he announced last June.”
He argued that the frontrunners always get disproportionate coverage, and Trump is just more open for interviews than most other candidates. As Zucker put it, “I’m not going to penalize him for saying yes.”
In summation, he argued, “I actually reject that premise that we’ve given too much attention to him.”
