Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) is the best-liked presidential candidate from either party, according to a new poll.
Forty eight percent of all Americans view the Democratic White House hopeful favorably in The Associated Press/GfK survey released Tuesday. Thirty nine percent view Sanders unfavorably, giving him the best net positive favorability rating.
Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton is viewed favorably by 40 percent and unfavorably by 55 percent. Donald Trump, her GOP counterpart, is seen favorably by 26 percent and unfavorably by 69 percent.
A high percentage of voters would also consider electing Sanders in November, pollsters found. Sixty one percent say they would mull voting for Sanders, while 38 percent said they would definitely not.
Fifty one percent vow they would never vote for Clinton and 63 percent would never mark Trump on their ballots.
Clinton remains the presidential candidate most voters believe can win a general election, however.
Eighty two percent think she is the most capable, contrasted with 60 percent apiece for Sanders and Trump.
AP/GfK questioned 1,076 adult Americans via online surveys from March 31-April 4. The new poll has 3.3 margin of error.
