"The white Yale student who phoned authorities after she spotted a black woman sleeping in the common area of a residence hall has allegedly called the cops on a student of color in the past.
Yale Police released a statement Thursday saying Sarah Braash's call was "not a police matter" and that the department reported the incident to a graduate school dean.
Lolade Siyonbola was forced to prove her status as a student at the Ivy league university to campus officers early Tuesday morning following a confrontation with Braash, who reported her for napping on a couch in the Hall of Graduate Studies.
Yale Police Chief Ronnell Higgins in the statement said that while it did take "longer than usual" to identify Siyonbola, officers did eventually confirm she was in fact a student."
