as posted by the channelA Christian mom who spent years trying to ban LGBTQ-themed books from her local library has now been charged in a plot to have her own daughter kidnapped.
Tammi Hamby, former chair of the Crawford County Library Board, built her whole public persona around “protecting children” from so-called “grooming” in queer books. She pushed to pull LGBTQ titles off shelves, smeared queer kids and families as a threat, and leaned hard on Christian nationalist talking points about “child abuse” and “woke ideology.”
According to prosecutors, while she was doing all that, she was allegedly helping to plan a staged kidnapping of her own adopted, developmentally delayed daughter — supposedly to “teach her a lesson.” The plan allegedly involved grabbing the girl, tying her to a tree, and then letting Mom show up later as the hero.
