In this video, we break down the arrest of 22-year-old preschool teacher and anti-war organizer Jessica Plichta in Grand Rapids. She was speaking to local media about U.S. military involvement in Venezuela and calling Trump’s actions “war crimes” when officers moved in and arrested her on charges of “obstructing a roadway” and “failing to obey a lawful command.”
Afterward, police admitted they’d been told to track down marchers for arrest — and Jessica says she was targeted for her politics.
