A year and a half ago, we looked into the legend of a race of giant, red haired cannibals said to live in the area surrounding the Humboldt Sink near Lovelock, Nevada. This story of a people called the “Si Te Cah” told of ten to twelve foot tall primitive people living in local caves, who terrorized the tribes around them by kidnapping and eating people as their main source of food. At the time we made two videos on the topic, one looking primarily at the story itself and the history of the area, while the other looked into the archaeological and etymological evidence that should support or debunk the legend. The problem is that we got some things wrong. So, with a short week to produce an episode and with some corrections to be made, we sat down to put this video together.
