It has now been nearly twenty years since Jeff Strelzin said there was a 75% chance of prosecution in the Maura Murray investigation, and in that time not one suspect has been publicized. Not one piece of evidence has been uncovered. Not one example of good police work has emerged. All that has been done has been achieved by volunteers, and through the sheer force of will coming from Fred Murray - who to this day maintains a belief that his daughter met with foul play. He’s not alone in that belief, either, even as the New Hampshire authorities and others, like author James Renner, argue for various reasons that she chose to leave of her own accord. On the other hand, there are many who agree with Fred that someone local to the crash site abducted Maura, while others have come forward with theories that she was either lured there or chosen as a target of opportunity by someone traveling through the region - and in that case, the big question is “who”?
