If I had a nickel for every time I felt compelled to write a video about David Paulides lying on a massive podcast this month, I’d have two nickels…which isn’t a lot, but it’s frankly unfortunate that it’s had to happen twice now; and oddly enough he was lying about different things. Now, if you’re asking “who’s David Paulides and why should I care?” Then the answer is that he’s a guy who makes money by lying about missing people through his Missing 411 book and film series. It was bad enough when he was doing this by writing books and making movies in which he changed, omitted, or exaggerated details in order to make it look like someone fell into a portal or was kidnapped by Bigfoot or aliens, but now it’s getting more mainstream, and in the hardest way to address: long form podcasts. Most recently, he appeared on The Why Files (primarily to speak about Bigfoot), and that’s the episode we’ll be taking a look at today. For the sake of not boring you with rehashes, I’ve also opted to skip the parts I’d already covered in the episode on Dave’s Joe Rogan appearance and focus on stuff more unique to this interview.
