In this video, I break down a series of videos posted by everyday people (a DoorDash driver, a pre-K teacher, and others) who went online to express open disappointment that the shooter didn’t succeed. Not fringe accounts. Not anonymous trolls. Real people, using their real faces, in their real jobs, celebrating political violence against a democratically elected president.

I want to be clear: this is not a left vs. right video. Political violence is unacceptable regardless of who it’s directed at. But the pattern we’re seeing right now, the glorification, the fake crying that he survived, the ‘I wake up every morning hoping he’s dead’ posts, is a serious problem that demands a serious response.

We look at the specific cases, the consequences these individuals faced, and what it says about a segment of the political left that has completely abandoned any pretense of the peace and tolerance it claims to stand for.
