Cenk Uygur's Own Words Just DESTROYED His Entire Israel Argument

A 50-second clip of Cenk Uygur on The Young Turks is going viral right now and it shows a version of Cenk that his current audience would never recognize. Twenty years ago, Cenk said Hezbollah was a fundamentalist Muslim group that could not possibly help Lebanon. He said you can't fire rockets into Israel and then act surprised when they invade. He said Iran and Syria are the ones provoking the conflict by empowering their proxies. He said Palestinians made a bad decision by letting Hamas fire rockets into Israel. He said if you attack the United States or Israel, they will bring the wrath of God upon you and pound your face in. Those are his words.

Today, Cenk calls Israel the invaders and the aggressors. He calls Hezbollah the defenders of Lebanon. He says Israel has no right to operate in southern Lebanon, the same southern Lebanon where Hezbollah has been firing rockets into Israel for years. He says America has no moral, strategic, or military obligation to Israel, which he now describes as a force for darkness. This is a complete 180 on every single position he held as an established, professional adult with his own TV show. This is not a young man growing and learning. This is a grown man who believed something firmly, publicly, and on the record and then abandoned every bit of it.
