YouTube Description
as posted by the channelRo Khanna says he was detained at gunpoint by armed Israeli settlers in the West Bank. The right says he fabricated it. Both versions are wrong, and the actual story is more revealing than either one.
I walk through the full body cam footage from the tour guide who was in the van, what the IDF actually said in their official statement to NBC, and what the Jerusalem Post found when they reviewed all of it. The village Khanna was visiting (Khirbet Zenyatta) was emptied by settler raids after October 7. The school there was demolished. That grievance is real and documented. The settlers who blocked his vehicle had no legal authority to do so, and ran the moment police arrived. One of the armed men was an off-duty IDF officer. The IDF's statement said troops dispersed the settlers immediately. The footage shows that is not what happened.
But Khanna is also not telling the full story. He waited three days. He described M4 machine guns pointed at his group, the body cam footage does not show that. He called for the prosecution of settlers and soldiers while declining meetings with October 7 families and surviving hostages earlier in the same trip. And he did not coordinate with the IDF, not because the zone required it, but because standard protocol for congressional visits demands it. The Jerusalem Post, an Israeli paper, reviewed the evidence and took bites out of both accounts. Both sides lied. Here is what actually happened.
