With holiday travel ramping up, many are going out to get tested for COVID-19 this week and with concerns over the omicron variant, the demand is high.

In fact, demand is so high that Walgreens and CVS are now limiting the number of tests customers can buy. Americans may find empty shelves or long lines in many places across the country.

Pictures of long lines are coming out of New York, stories of empty shelves where at home COVID tests used to be across the country. Although we’re far into the pandemic, this is proving to be a big problem.

The National Desk’s Fact Check Team is looking into what actions the Biden administration could have taken earlier and why it didn’t.

President Joe Biden said it is not a failure that there are not enough COVID-19 tests because the virus spread quicker than anyone had thought it would.
