The EtO debate: Vital service for patients, potentially putting communities at risk

Long-awaited new regulations to reduce emissions of a cancer-causing toxic gas used at medical sterilization facilities across the country were finalized by the EPA earlier this year. Now, there is concern over delays to implement the new rules. Communities nationwide are battling an industry that provides an important service for patients, but may also be putting some residents at risk.
