U.S. deploys 1,500 troops to southern border amid immigration crackdown

The Trump administration has ordered 1,500 U.S. military troops to the southern border as part of a crackdown on undocumented migrants.

President Donald Trump emphasized the urgency of the situation.

"We’re getting them out of the country and they’re going to be gotten out of the country fast," Trump said Tuesday. "They came in illegally."
