US attorney probing DOJ's decision to charge Jan. 6 rioters, WSJ reports

A prosecutor appointed by President Donald Trump is reviewing a decision by the Department of Justice to charge hundreds of people involved in the Jan. 6, 2021 riot at the Capitol with felony obstruction, The Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.
