PBS, NPR broadcasters defend funding as GOP pushes to cut support over bias claims

The two biggest public broadcasters in the U.S. could be on the chopping block for federal funding, with Congressional Republicans accusing NPR and PBS of bias and ideological programming.

Cutting funding has been a decades-long effort that could be close to a reality with Republican control of Washington.
