Trump's 25% tariffs on imported cars and car parts set to take effect next week

A new survey from Nikkei News, a Japan-based news agency, polled executives at 144 major Japanese corporations, revealing that 30% are expanding their operations in the U.S., while another 20% are exploring options for expansion.

This shift comes as President Donald Trump's 25% tariffs on imported cars and car parts are set to take effect next week. Several foreign automakers are already planning to move production to the U.S. to avoid the added costs.
