DC police chief maintains control of Metropolitan Police Dept. after federal judge ruling

A federal judge on Friday met with D.C. leaders who seek to maintain control of the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) after the city's Attorney General filed a lawsuit to block the federal government’s attempt to take control of the agency.

The judge encouraged both the city and the Trump administration to find common ground and reach a compromise.
