At least two children, ages 8 and 10, are dead and another 17 are injured after a gunman opened fire during mass on the first week of classes at a Minneapolis Catholic school, according to the Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O'Hara.

O'Hara confirmed the gunman, identified as 23-year-old Robin Westman, appeared to be acting alone before taking his own life behind the church. The shooter was armed with a shotgun, a rifle and a pistol, which O'Hara confirmed were purchased lawfully by Westman recently.
