Democrats 'ready and willing' to find path to avoid government shutdown, won't support partisan bill

House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries spoke to the press ahead of his highly anticipated meeting with President Trump and Congressional leaders to find a path forward to avoid a government shutdown.

"We are ready and willing to find a bipartisan path forward and reach a spending agreement that keeps the government open but meets the needs of the American people. What we will not do is support a partisan Republican spending bill," Jeffries said.
