Testing Trump’s influence: Tennessee voters to decide special congressional election

Tennessee voters are making the final call Tuesday in a special election that has drawn national attention and a late push from President Donald Trump.

The election will determine who fills the 7th U.S. House District seat, which opened after Republican Rep. Mark Green resigned this summer. The reliably conservative district has seen an unexpected surge in outside spending, filling mailboxes with campaign flyers and dominating local airwaves in recent weeks.
