US Coast Guard seizes enough cocaine to kill 177 million Americans, Noem says

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said the U.S. Coast Guard has seized enough cocaine to kill 177 million Americans since January.

“We're taking the fight to make America safe again to our enemies, and we're going after them on the high seas, as well,” Noem said as she gave the keynote luncheon address to the Homeland Security & Defense Forum on Friday.

“We know that our maritime borders need to be defended. And since January, the U.S. Coast Guard has seized enough cocaine to kill 177 million Americans,” she added. “That's two thirds of our country's population. By keeping criminals and terrorists and drugs out of our country, we're saving American lives. And we're sparing American families from the pain of illegal alien crime and the heartache of drug addiction and fentanyl poisoning.”
