Trump will be ‘indirectly’ involved in SECOND ROUND of U.S.–Iran nuclear talks

President Donald Trump told reporters ahead of nuclear talks in Geneva, Switzerland, on Tuesday that he would be "indirectly" involved in discussions with Iranian officials.

“I’ll be involved in those talks indirectly, and they’ll be very important. We’ll see what can happen. It’s been, typically, Iran’s a very tough negotiator,” the president said aboard Air Force One on Sunday.

U.S. special envoy Steve Witkoff and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, attended the U.S.-Iran negotiations on Tuesday. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi represented the Iranian side during delegations with Omani Foreign Minister Badr Albusaidi acting as mediator.

It was the second round of talks aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear program, with the U.S. wanting limits on the country's uranium enrichment.
