Now, he's betting on something less glamorous: generic drugs, made on US soil.

Tucked away in an art district of Dallas, he walked us down the block where his company is making America's medicines, not because it's easy, and not because it's wildly profitable, but because he believes the system Americans rely on for medicine has become too opaque, too distorted and too comfortable with the cheapest possible answer.
